Burtons Combination Filters
Combination filters are essentially the merging of two technologies, rotary drum pre-filters and moving bed biological filters into one combined unit. This saves space, plumbing complexity and the associated costs, and also of course the risks of a mismatch between two differing types of filters which may not work well together. In this way the whole filter becomes an automatic system, with virtually no maintenance required, since drum filters are almost 100% automatic in operation, and moving bed technology has proven to be just about the most efficient form of biological filtration available, being virtually maintenance free and very efficient.
The Burtons Combi Filter range
The Burtons Combi range of combination filters provide the perfect filtration solution for a wide range of Koi ponds, up to at least 6,000 gallons (27,250 litres)or more. With two models in the range, all featuring the latest electronic and automated control, direct drive motors, external pre-fitted high pressure wash pumps and generous biological capacity, these filters are among the very best of breed. Manufactured in the UK, they are very well built, rugged and reliable and provide near perfect water quality.

Automatic Water Top Float switch
This super but simple auto-top up float switch can be fitted even in the tightest of spaces, and was designed originally for use in the Oase range of drum filters. This neat and adjustable float valve, easily located in a filter tank or similar, acts as a simple switch to activate a valve which turns on and off the water supply as required. The float can be adjusted from a fully horizontal to fully vertical position giving a huge amount of flexiblity to the installation point.
