The Nexus is an integrated filtration system which provide Koi keepers with premium mechanical and biological performance at an affordable price and in one package.

Above is shown the new Nexus Eazy Vortex prefilter system which consists of a 316 stainless steel enclosure and specially adapted central exit pipe.  This is now a full height (no legs) and fully enclosed unit with a clear lid to prevent the escape of any media when backwashing. This is filled with static Kaldnes when operational and provides a superb and cost effective mechanical filter.  The new prefilter is now fixed to the base of the Nexus inner chamber at the base, so there are now no legs and the chambers are therefore deeper. The prefilters come complete with 40 litres of Kaldnes in the 310 model and 30 litres in the 210 model.  The Eazy prefilter features a pressurised air purge system so that the chamber can simply be backwashed and cleaned in minutes, with no media removal and minimum fuss.  Static Kaldnes traps very fine solids exceptionally well and the Eazy prefilter stops fine solids which pass through the Vortex from entering the main Kaldnes bio chamber and water clarity is dramatically improved. The Nexus Eazy is a standard part of the new Nexus 210 and 310 models but can also be ordered separately and retro fitted to any older 200 and 300 Nexus models.

The Kaldnes 'moving bed process',  is included with all Nexus and Eazypod models. This uniquely designed media provides amazing water quality, especially when it has reached full maturity. Kaldnes bio-media is maintenance-free, allowing the biomass to fully mature, which maximises its effectiveness and creates constant parameters.

Picture above shows the new non return valve arrangement in the centre tube of the Nexus, which means that the standpipe used in previous models during back washing is no longer required.

The Eazy pod filter comes complete with Kaldnes based pre filter and is suitable for Koi ponds up to 2,200 gallons (10000 litres) as a complete filter and can also be fitted as a skimmer pre filter and water polisher on larger ponds.  The new Eazypod air gives you all the benefits of the Eazypod but for a tiny extra cost includes a 70 lpm air pump, airline, manifold and air stones - fantastic value for money!
